PRAKASH THE MICRO ARTIST!
A sculpture is just a painting cut out and stood up somewhere. - Frank Stella
ABOUT PRAKASH There is a lot of ways to express the art inside oneself, most of the artists use sketching or painting but today we have an interesting person who took it to another level! meet Mr. Prakash from Manamadurai, Sivagangai district. Prakash sculpts, not on rocks and stones but on chalks and pencils. At the very beginning at the age of 15 Prakash used to carve on chalks.
DEDICATION TOWARDS PASSION
Unfortunately, many people around him criticized and made fun of him instead of supporting and encouraging him. He had a very rough beginning. Among all these some of his friends look through him and supported him for his artworks in chalks which became a great pillar of strength for the following years! Then later in his college days, Prakash started to carve in pencil leads instead of chalks at the age of 20. Just like any other artist Prakash is very passionate about his works, He enjoys the peace and calmness when he carves something in pencils. He's too focused as he forgets his meals while working! This shows the dedicate on and the passion Prakash has towards his artworks. Prakash describes preserving those fragile pieces of artwork is the hardest part of work. sculpting requires some serious skills and dedicate on. A single mistake could ruin the whole artwork. when it comes to carving in pencils we really can't imagine the hard work he puts in his every single piece of work. He describes his works as newborn babies at least that's how he handles them!
NEVER GIVE UP We all have something close to our hearts even though those are material things we give them that place because of the moral or memory values they hold. Prakash has such a close to heart thing which is his first piece of work. A heart carved on a piece of chalk which took him almost an hour and a half to complete! When it comes to patience and focus we cant imagine his level. Most of his artworks use to breakdown while working sure that will be frustrating.
But Prakash believes in not giving up. He even describes not giving up is one of the most important things a micro artist must practice.
INSPIRATION Prakash gets his inspiration from everything around him but the person who inspires him the most is Salavat Fidai. When it comes to the encouragement he gets loads of encouragement and support from his college friends and parents of course!
GOAL As a passionate young mind, Prakash has loads of plans for his future. His goal is to make multiple world records and to develop a small art school and teach them, Micro Art.
We team Adikozha Proud to have such a talented person in our family. Good luck Prakash we always got your back!
