“The true use of art is, first, to cultivate the artist’s own spiritual nature.” - George Inness.

Art is something that we cant simply define within some words it's considered as a feeling or an emotion than a word with the definition. It is abstract and unpredictable and likely most artists too. We can't tell someone is an artist by looking at them as most of them are undercover with a 9-5 job killing the artist within themself some have the courage to realize this and be in their natural element but some are brave enough to manage both. Such an artist is Mr. Atul Kabra. What's so special about him? Atul is a marketing professional with a 3-year experience who noticed an artist within him and stared expressing him. He has worked in all the domains of marketing and still, he wanted to be a doodle artist.

Being a sensitive person at heart Atul have a great sense of human emotions which works well in his art form too. Atul is an old soul his interests include sunsets, mountains, travel, and of course understanding and living his life to fullest. "daydream drawing gives you an unobstructed view into your own mind" - says Atul. He explains doodling in the simplest possible way as bringing the stuff on the subconscious mind to a medium.

As a child, Atul enjoyed taking part in artistic activities and loved to compete in art competitions. He made doodling as his hobby. He loves it that extend that later he turned it into his part-time business.

"Behind every man's success, there will be a woman" This statement is very much true in our protagonist's story. Atul's mother and grandmother gave him the support and encouragement he needed and still continuing to inspire him. With classed to emotional support his mother was there. As an artist herself, Atul's mother did as much as she could for Atul.

Doodling is not really traditional art. In a society that embraces tradition and culture people still can't accept doodling as the real art form but consider something from wester people. But times changing as people with a more open mind evolves in our society people getting familiar with these types of art and started welcoming it. Good news for Atul.

Here are several close to heart works for Atul,

- One of his sketches was acknowledged in the ICICI Bank (a reputed Private Bank) Calendar 2007-08. The same sketch has been acknowledged in various school magazines.

- The doodle he has made for my closest friend.

Atul believes in Expressing the idea before choosing the medium, With good focus and time, Atul makes his masterpieces. But delivering the content is a different thing as the picture may be worth a thousand words, but unless you can articulate it, it doesn't make sense to viewers.

Finally here are few words from Atul himself,

“Don’t let the expectations and opinions of other people affect your decisions. It’s your life, not theirs. Do what matters most to you; do what makes you feel alive and happy. Don’t let the expectations and ideas of others limit who you are. If you let others tell you who you are, you are living their reality — not yours. There is more to life than pleasing people. There is much more to life than following others’ prescribed path. There is so much more to life than what you experience right now. You need to decide who you are for yourself. Become a whole being. Adventure.” ― Roy T. Bennett
